The union from actors who portray Mickey, Wacky and other characters at Walt The iPhone 5 Disney case world resort filed a complaint Friday who have a national labor board, challenging an insurance policy that it says prevents the artists from revealing which animated amounts they portray.
Teamsters Local 385 filed the charge with the Nationally Labor Relations Board, alleging The Disney case produtcions was committing an unfair time practice. A grievance was manually filed last week with the company. The two-week-old written policy prevents actors along with publicly revealing in social media or simply traditional media which characters these types of people play, according to the union.
So far, not one of the 1, 200 character actors worries Walt Disney World have faced almost any disciplinary action, said Donna-Lynne Dalton, recording secretary for the Teamsters leading.
"The performers are very concerned simply because you can't un-tell somebody something, micron Dalton said. "They have good friends that already know this and have photos of themselves in their performing contracts. It's out there. "
The secrecy policy had been a subject of negotiate on prices during past contract talks, nonetheless never made it into a contract, organization officials said.
"The company do not have the right to control social media postings, micron said Mike Stapleton, president associated with the Teamsters local. "Suddenly the company likes to pretend there aren't people late those costumes and the Constitution doesn't broaden to the theme park. "
