Talking about the top gainers of charts on Friday, NewLead Holdings (NASDAQ:NEWL) shares rallied on Friday following the international shipping firm declared it would buy two bulk carriers for $37.0 million.
The firm has decided to purchase two eco-type 31,800 deadweight tonnage Handysize bulk carriers built in 2012. NewLead predicts delviery of the two vessels by the end of June and July. On their receiving, NewLead would possess five dry-bulk vessels, consisting of three Handysize and two Panamax vessels.
Michael Kors Holdings (NASDAQ:KORS) reported modest gains at the start of Friday and has moved ahead further in the past few minutes on hiked volume. The stock is now up 1.52% at $98.50 on last check. Michael Kors Holdings is exchanging close to the middle of a 1-month range at the peaks of the year. The stock might come across resistance near $101.00 per share.
Coffee Holding (NYSE:JVA) declared first quarter EPS of $0.21 on Friday morning, higher as compared to $0.14 in 2014. Shares of Vaalco Energy (NYSE:EGY) jumped up 17.2% on Friday following fourth-quarter earnings enhanced as compared to a year ago same quarter. In the fourth quarter, Vaalco declared net income of $26.4 million, a reversal from a year-ago loss of $18.9 million. For the year, Vaalco declared net income of $43.1 million, or 74 cents per share.
Scorpio Tankers (NASDAQ:STNG) declared that it has moved into a deal whereby the firm would sell its seven Very Large Crude Carriers, or VLCCs, under construction for cash and record a rise of almost $50M. This deal is predicted to end by the end March.
