SINGAPORE: A slew of Nickelodeon's animated series have been snapped up by Asian broadcasters, including in the Philippines, China and Taiwan.
ABS-CBN in the Philippines licensed the freshman season of Paw Patrol, the next season of Team Umizoomi, the sixth season of Dora the Explorer and the eighth and ninth seasons of Spongebob iPhone 5 case SquarePants. The free-to-air broadcaster also went for the first two seasons of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, season three of Penguins of Madagascar, the very first and third seasons of Kung Fu Panda, and the freshman seasons of The Legend of Korra and Monsters vs Aliens.
In China, BesTV picked up special episodes of Dora the Explorer, A Fairly Odd Christmas and A reasonably Odd Movie: Grow Up Timmy Turner!, as well as the first two seasons of Dora the Explorer, season nine of Fairly Odd Parents, the fourth season of Team Umizoomi, the freshman seasons of T. U. F. F. Puppy and Bubble Guppies, and the second, third and seventh seasons of Spongebob iPhone case SquarePants. The IPTV broadcaster also acquired the first two seasons of Invader Zim, the freshman seasons of Monsters vs Aliens, Planet Sheen and Robot and Monster, seasons one and two of Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius, and the first seasons of Sanjay & Craig, Legend of Korra and Kung Fu Panda.
Taiwan's pay-TV Eastern Broadcasting Asia Co. chosen the first eight seasons of SpongeBob SquarePants, seasons three, four and six of Dora the Explorer, the first two seasons of Go, Diego, Go!, the second and fourth seasons of Team Umizoomi, season four of Blue's Clues, the freshman season of Paw Patrol, the sophomore season of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the very first season of Monsters vs Aliens.
